The world’s only international conference for Life Skills professionals, P20 Talks, is coming to Cape Town this October 25th-27th, 2024. Held bi-annually on alternating continents, P20 Talks champions 21st-century education for 21st Century Life Skills.
Life Skills, as defined by Parenting 2.0, are the “skills every human being learns.”
P20 Talks dynamic, (Ted Talk type) presentations center around Life Skills used daily – Life Skills core to individuals and the communities they construct thriving. Areas of focus include Environmental, Emotional, and Financial Literacy and Personal Safety. If you are a Life Skills professional, P20 Talks is the conference for you.
P20 Talks is hosted by Ambassadors for Parenting 2.0’s educational non-profit, The Global Presence, Prior host locations include San Diego, CA USA, Dublin, Ireland, Goa India, Sydney, Australia and Salvador, Brazil.
Dr. Arthie Moore-Robberts
Dr. Arthie Moore-Robberts is the Founder of Celebrating Humanity International Pty Ltd and Ki Leadership International Pty Lt. A certified International Professional Speaker, Leadership Coach, and Diversity & Inclusion Specialist, Arthie has worked with a wide variety of organizations including Government, Boards of Directors, Universities, Schools, Orphanages, and Empowerment programs for Youth and Women. As a dedicated Philanthropist, she shares her Value of Compassion to catalyze transformation and champions a global movement of Compassionate Leaders of Influence. Residing presently in Johannesburg, South Africa, she is also the Creator of groundbreaking programs addressing diversity, well-being, gender-based violence, workplace bullying, and youth leadership for corporations. Her vision and Values-Based Leadership programs have been taught in South Africa, Lebanon, Ireland, the UK, the USA, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
Dr. Calorine Noel Mekiedje – Conference Chair
Dr Calorine Mekiedje is a Cameroonian Medical Doctor and Public Health professional based in Cape Town South Africa. She serves as a strategic senior advisor for HIV/TB and professional development programs in various countries throughout Africa for Doctors Without Borders. She is passionate about human nature and well-being, and leadership/followership. She believes firmly that to be a great leader one must also be a good follower.
Comfort Idee Inyang
Comfort Idee Inyang is from Akwa Ibom, Nigeria. Credentialed in female rights and mental health, Comfort has worked with multiple NGOs training women on small and medium-scale entrepreneurial enterprises. She also volunteers for the Nigerian Red Cross Society and 8ytmannetwork where she teaches children Life Skills such as personal care and menstrual hygiene. Comfort is also a highly talented vocal artist, with an HND in television production, who incorporates music into her multiple educational curriculums.
Dr. Daniel Ibarrondo
Dr. Daniel Ibarrondo is a global specialist in the arena of DEIB (diversity, equity,
inclusion, and belonging). Currently, Dr. Ibarrondo advises colleges and universities in
the United States and Puerto Rico on systemic initiatives for program development and
student success in STEM and AI. His academic credentials include a Doctorate in
Jurisprudence (J.D.) from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, an
Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Bilingual/Bicultural Education from Seton Hall
University, and a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Technologies from
Pepperdine University. He obtained his leadership certification at Harvard University –
Institute of Educational Management.

Deon Basson
Deon Basson (B.Sc, B.Sc Hon, MBA) is the CEO of ReCInate and chairman of Spatialedge. He has been studying the impact of communication on people for 25 years. His passion lies with elevating communication competencies for people of all ages in all forums – whether business, education, and private lives – it influences everything and enables all other skills.
In 2006 Deon founded ReCInate with the focus of changing the way people communicate. Understanding this made a huge difference on resonating with people while communicating. It builds great trust and relationships. In education communication is a critical skill. It is the one differentiator between great educators and the rest, it is the number one differentiator between great performing schools and the rest. And the biggest reason? We all differ in what and how we communicate. In 2012 Deon delivered the first workshop for education, namely “The Psychology of Communication in Education”. The results were great, and the performance of the students improved significantly.
Dr. Gauri Lowe
Dr. Gauri Lowe is a holistic medical doctor specializing in women’s health and birth work, with over 20 years of experience. Based in South Africa, she combines her knowledge of traditional care, Ayurveda, and modern medicine to empower women through physiological birth and self-sovereignty. Her “Sacred Model of Birth”, focuses on the deep wisdom of the female body and how honoring this natural process supports both physical and emotional well-being. Dr. Lowe is passionate about reframing healthcare with compassion and nurturing the innate strength of women.
Hanli Prinsloo
Founder of I AM WATER Ocean Conservation & AGULHAS Sustainable Ocean Equipment, Hanli is a multiple freediving record holder, coach and social entrepreneur. Growing up on a horse farm in rural South Africa, her love of nature and the human need for wilderness were instilled at an early age. Since retiring from competitive freediving she is active as a sought-after high-performance coach having worked with professional sportsmen and women from cyclists to big wave surfers, to global corporations. Currently, her focus is on fostering ocean conservation through human experience, and reconnecting people with nature through her innovative I AM WATER Ocean Conservation programs which she founded in 2010. Her personal quest of freediving with marine megafauna has resulted in numerous exhibitions, films, and articles about the human/animal connection. She also founded OCEAN TRAVEL as a way to offer sustainable big-animal interactions in pristine locations. Jan Robberts
Jan Robberts is an International Professional Speaker, Leadership Coach and Trainer. He is the Co-founder of Ki Leadership Institute Pty Ltd based in South Africa and Scotland. His present leadership path was inspired by decades of travel in the oil industry – managing, coaching, and training teams of diverse backgrounds. This gave him tremendous insights and experience which he enthusiastically infuses into his leadership development programs.
Jan is passionate about strengthening organizations and individuals through transformational programs such as Values-based Leadership. He “believes in a world where people are inspired to use their voice and lead, rather than suffer in silence and follow.” In addition to Co-Founding Ki-Leaderships Insititute, he is also the Founder of JR Speakers Club in Scotland and South Africa.
Johan Koornhof
Married with two young children, Cape Town native Johan Koornhof was on a career path in company culture and executive mentoring in 2021 when he suffered a near-death experience. This inspired the birth of a unique personal development framework called The 4 C’s of Leadership which Johan uses to empower leaders across the world. This framework is currently being built into an APP, along with his newly authored book called Peace Beyond Understanding.

US-born Marlaine Cover is a Social Entrepreneur, Creator of The Life Skills Report Card and Founder of the international consciousness movement Parenting 2.0. Parenting 2.0 champions professional education for Life Skills used daily. Popularly known by her pen name “Mama Marlaine”, she is the best-selling author of Kissing the Mirror, Raising Humanity in the 21st Century, and serves as Board President for Parenting 2.0’s educational non-profit, The Global Presence.

Marlyse Laure Assonken-Sobtafo
Marlyse is the author of the book EAT TROPICAL TO HEAL, a guide to prevent and reverse obesity, T2D, and heart diseases using local foods in tropical countries. She holds dual master’s degrees—one in Economics from the University of Abuja and another in Nutrition and Integrative Health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health, USA. With over 13 years of global experience, Marlyse has made her mark as a public health nutritionist and functional nutritionist, serving in various roles across Africa, the Pacific, and North America. Her career spans work with international organizations, hospitals, and private practice, focusing on chronic health issues such as weight management, cardiovascular disease, and Type 2 Diabetes, with a commitment to prevention and treatment.

Martine Lnack-Thieulin
Martine Inack-Thieulin is a French and Cameroonian expert in relational transformation living in Brussels. She is the author of two books, “J’ai rien à me mettre” and “Je marche à ma rencontre” and a sought-after speaker. With a degree in law and an MBA in human resources, Martine’s career spans HR roles in French diplomacy, humanitarian efforts, and international cooperation projects in Africa and Asia.
Following a transformative journey during the COVID-19 pandemic, Martine now dedicates herself to helping frustrated and disheartened married women reclaim their lives and achieve personal and relational transformation through her unique METAMORPHOSE method. She also enjoys meditative walks in nature and hosts the bi-monthly radio show “Femmes Styles & Inspiration” in Brussels, promoting new mindsets in female entrepreneurship.
Robin Shear
Robin Shear is an ICF-certified life coach and registered dietician from the US. Author of the book, Messy Joy, Robin helps people find joy in their lives, and live from a place of fullness, despite their circumstances. She has been featured in TIME Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and Psychology Today. A TEDx and international keynote speaker, Robin is presently the President-Elect of the National Speakers Association for Michigan.

Willem Vorster
Willem Vorster is a qualified Chartered Accountant in South Africa and recently completed his International MBA in the Netherlands. He has worked extensively within the local and global startup, SME, and listed entity space. Willem has served as a business and financial mentor for multiple African technology incubator programs and flourishes in environments where he can encourage, empower, and motivate. As a long-distance trail runner, Willem enjoys testing the boundaries of his capabilities. He is a strong believer that most people can achieve infinitely more than they can ever dream or think.
