The system empowers children with verbal strategies to stand up to bullying behavior with unshakable confidence and provides a series of non-violent self-defense techniques to keep them safe if they are physically attacked.  The Gracie Bullyproof program has been featured on on NBC, CNN, and Oprah.com as an effective counter-measure to bullying. Devin C. Hughes – No More Bullies Lead

Devin C. Hughes, The Chief Inspiration Officer is a former college basketball player, speaker, coach, author and frequent eclectic thinker.

The son of a black father and white mother, Devin grew up in a mixed—and mixed up—world. His home life was chaotic, riddled with his parents’ drug use and unconventional ways of educating; dyslexia made academic learning a seemingly insurmountable challenge; and his identity was beyond confusing—was he black because he felt black or white because he looked white? Devin knew one thing: he needed to escape his environment and get into college, beyond which he believed the world would open up to him.

Basketball was Devin’s ticket to a brighter future, and he attended Colgate on a full athletic scholarship. Despite his determination to get to college, however, he scraped through the next four years by doing the bare minimum. Realizing how many doors he had closed for himself was crushing. The day he graduated, he knew he had to change.

Devin now provides a framework for turning around the unmotivated, lost, and emotionally distraught with real world practical solutions. After years of feeling isolated because of his mixed race and dyslexia, Devin now helps others thrive in a fragmented world.

Devin lives in San Diego, CA with his wife and four daughters. His memoir, Contrast, is his gift back to those who are looking for some inspiration and passion to move forward, not look back.  A great life is measured by progress not perfection!

Rhonda Sciortino – Modern Families Lead

Born and raised in Southern California, Rhonda Sciortino’s experience of the beautiful southern California foothills was not that of the average middle class resident in the 60’s and 70’s. Rhonda was raised in a filthy, rodent infested, one-room shack that had no heating, questionable plumbing, and a cesspool that regularly overflowed down the dirt driveway.

The neighborhood was rough, but what happened inside the house was much more terrifying than the neighboring drug dealers, “Hell’s Angel’s,” or the people who bragged about their drive-by shootings. After a lifetime of searching for answers to the big questions of life, Rhonda found some answers, and peace to accept the unanswered. Through her books and speaking, Rhonda hopes to encourage everyone to find and fulfill the specific Assignment for their lives. There are clues, and it’s incumbent upon us to find and evaluate them and then determine to fulfill our unique Assignment to the best of our ability.

Where we came from, what we’ve gone through, and what we’ve done are exactly the things that qualify us to do our Assignments. It doesn’t matter how old we are, how incapable we may feel, or how many mistakes we’ve made. As long as we’re still breathing, we’re still in the game! You can succeed because of what you’ve been through!

Kristie Bjorklund Davidson

Fourteen years ago Kristie Bjorklund Davidson had a dream.  She always had a passion for educating kids and wanted to help them turn their mundane daily homework and school projects into a positive, FUN experience.  Growing up, she herself struggled in school with finding ways to keep learning interesting and exciting.  These struggles propelled her to combine the computer revolution with everyday after school homework help on a weekly basis in the home setting.  Over the years, she has worked with many amazing families.  By implementing her “Edutainment” philosophy she has had the opportunity to change the educational experience in the home by combining online safety, tech skills, & life skills.

New technology has provided Kristie with a never ending curriculum ranging from using phonics on an Ipad for teaching a 3 year old early reading to using typing software, so that kids enter into middle school with at least 50 wpm.   This gives them the tools to stay ahead of their education, and feel confident and secure.  As an avid LA surfer girl and proud step mother of three, she has enjoyed proving that technology can be a wonderful educational tool, if used in a safe controlled environment.  Her hope is to bridge the gap between parents and their children’s tech life.

Tshaka Armstrong – Digital Safety Lead

Tshaka Armstrong has always been a geek and a story teller! Having poetry published as a youth and adult, Tshaka took his love for a beautifully crafted yarn to television where he’s won numerous awards, including Emmys and an Edward R. Murrow award.

It wasn’t until he took on the role of family man that he saw his gifts come into their full fruition. Along the way as he’s done his best to nurture his own family, Tshaka has also been an integral part of growing large online communities and rocked social media!

As the family tech guy (you know, the one relatives call when they have computer issues), Tshaka found that gadgets were helping drive a wedge between parents and their children. The adults were often missing out on so many “teach! able moments” due to their children having separate online lives that those parents were, quite often, completely oblivious to.

Tshaka found the inspiration to create Digital Shepherds after working in investigative news. There was story after story about how the internet and mobile technologies were being used to prey on children and how children were naively making themselves victims due to their own lack of digital literacy. Mr. Armstrong said, “enough is enough,” and Digital Shepherds was born.

No More Bullies
Social Life Skills Thought Leaders
When a child has difficulty with math we say the math is difficult. When children have difficulty communicating with other children we call the children difficult – or some other name. P20 advocates abandoning all name calling and embracing appreciation for all children as “learning” conflict resolution skills. P20 Thought Leaders inspire with their personal stories of transformation.

Teens: Endangered to Empowered
Personal Care Life Skills Thought Leaders
Today’s teens face unprecedented pressures and novel learning curves. The result is both teens and parents feeling overwhelmed and underappreciated. P20 Teen Educators provide a redirect by sharing practical, positive ways to empower all teens and parents.
